Removal of COD and surfactants from grey water by Fenton type processes

چکیده

Grey water is a kind of domestic wastewater including shower, bath, lavatory and laundry waters. waters without faecal waste can be considered as alternative sources in the place where resources are limited. In present study, removals COD, anionic non-ionic surfactants from grey via conventional (CFP) modified (MFP) Fenton oxidation processes was experienced. It determined that pH adjustment to acidic values not required CFP. The optimum operating conditions were [Fe2+] = 50 mg/L, [H2O2] mg/L at 7.6 (original pH) CFP [ZVI] 3 MFP, respectively. As result, has been found more efficient treatment method for water, compared MFP.

Oil removal from produced water by conjugation of flotation and photo-Fenton processes.

The present work investigates the conjugation of flotation and photo-Fenton techniques on oil removal performance from oilfield produced water. The experiments were conducted in a column flotation and annular lamp reactor for induced air flotation and photodegradation steps, respectively. A nonionic surfactant was used as a flotation agent. The flotation experimental data were analyzed in terms...

Decolorization and COD removal from real textile wastewater by chemical and electrochemical Fenton processes: a comparative study

BACKGROUND Due to the presence of non-biodegradable and toxic compounds, textile wastewater is difficult to treat by conventional methods. In the present study, Electrochemical Fenton (EF) and Chemical Fenton (CF) processes were studied and compared for the treatment of real textile wastewater. The effects of electrical current, ferrous ion, hydrogen peroxide concentration and reaction time on ...

Decolorization and COD Removal of Reactive Yellow 16 by Fenton Oxidation and Comparison of Dye Removal with Photo Fenton and Sono Fenton Process

Wastewaters from textile industry contain various pollutants including a high content of organic matter, surfactants, additives and dyes. Dyes have obtained notoriety as hazardous substances, because most of them are toxic and considered to be resistant to biodegradation. Recently, advanced oxidation processes (AOP) have received considerable attention because it is possible to degrade organic ...

Removal of Surfactants from wastewater by Rice Husk

Surfactants are one of the major components (10- 18%) of detergents and household cleaning products and are used in high volumes in developed countries. In the present research work, the ability of rice husk as a low cost adsorbent for anionic and nonionic surfactants in wastewater has been studied. The maximum removal efficiency for anionic surfactants was 97%, in an aqueous solu...
